One of these days we will make it to a Latin club- perhaps in Miami- and it will be magical.
It’s hard to believe it was over two years ago that we exchanged our gloriously friendly email convos, but at the same time it feels like I’ve known you for longer.
Thank you for being one of my most trusted friends in Los Angeles. Have a lot of friends here, but only so many who will carry over to life after I leave.
You and I will be going to Cannes for the rest of time.
You are not only one of the friendliest, most well-connected people I know, but also one of the most focused and career driven.
One of my favorite qualities in people is passion.
It represents curiosity and drive, and I think it is reflected in people's hobbies.
If someone takes the time to pursue a hobby- it reflects intrinsic motivation that most people never follow through on. They may have hobbies but they probably never work hard enough at it to really improve their craft or to turn it into a career; maybe they don’t put in the work or maybe they don’t have the courage to pursue what they actually want. What I admire in people’s hobbies, I see even more in your career pursuits. That you such a significant and dedicated amount of time out of your week to write, as an entire second full-time job, on your own devices, demonstrates a dedication and a level of motivation that I greatly admire.
It speaks to your passion.
I also must say that I admire your scheduling haha.
As someone who has very high standards for what is considered “busy,” or especially “too busy,” I congratulate you that you are one of the busiest people I know.
I feel fortunate to get your precious mornings and occasional evenings and weekends. Our Tavern coffee dates will be one of the things I miss most about LA.
Thank you for coming up to visit me when I was up in the bay area. It's something a lot of people say they will do but don't necessarily act on. It was only 24 hours but I had so much fun with you, just hanging out, at a time where it seemed like I was incapable of feeling what fun was. Waking you up with the neon palm tree lights and dance music was one of the highlights. Reggaeton on the deck. Drinking Tea in our lounge chairs with a view out the windows. Eating and talking. It's like a little dream in the middle of all the scheduled hangouts we will have for the rest of eternity, but it will go down as by far one of my favorites.
